Fire at Battambang Central Market
BATTAMBANG: Preliminary information, according to the social media office, a fire broke out in Phsar Thom Thmei called Phsar Nat in the center of Battambang city at 6:15 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
The Battambang City Police Inspector and all relevant officials intervened, including the fire prevention and rescue tank of the Battambang Provincial Police to put out the fire.
The cause of the incident is still unknown and some property damage has been reported, but fortunately no one was injured or killed.

Around 40 stalls destroyed. Fire broke out in a stall selling cooking oil. This kind of thing could happen at any of the markets in Cambodia, unfortunately.

Indeed.
I was surprised after searching the forum for instances of fires at markets so I think I just did the forum equivalent of speaking before thinking (posting before checking)
I think it is fair to say that every market is a potential ticking bomb.
