Fire at Kampot Market

Kampot, Cambodia News: A fire was declared at Dandong market in Kampot province at 9:10 pm on December 6, 2018. The blaze was fierce and fire trucks came from neighboring districts to assist the local firefighters; with four fire trucks, the fire was eventually extinguished by around midnight.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which is believed to have been caused by faulty electric wiring in the market. Sixteen stalls were destroyed.

October 22, 2019 - A fire was declared in a market in Kampot province tonight.

Cambodia Breaking News, Kampot: A fire broke out in Teuk Chhou district, Kampot, at 7:12 pm on October 22, 2019 at one clothing store in Ranyang market in Damn Luong village. The total amount of damage to stalls is estimated at around US$ 7,000.

The fire was short-lived, and not life-threatening; police used two fire trucks, and by 7:45 pm the fire was extinguished and nobody was injured.
