Dispute Between Bros Ends in Cleaver Attack

Cambodia News (Pailin Province): On February 13, 2023, a 48-year-old man attacked his 33-year-old brother with a cleaver at their family hut by their vegetable plantation, in Veal Vong village, Sangkat Toul Lavea, Pailin city.

According to the police report, there were two brothers: the attacker was Kim Hongsieng and the victim was Kim Chhunly. The two men got into an argument over the installation of some electric cables in the house, which got Kim Hongsieng so hopping mad that he attacked his younger brother with a cleaver, sending him to hospital with cuts and injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital in Battambang province where he is expected to recover.

Meanwhile, the suspect was taken to the police station, together with the cleaver which is being kept as evidence.
