I got detained after filming this wonderful temple up a hill in Thailand, they said I was spying on a military base, I told them not to be so daft. Had military police, local police, national police & plain clothes police question me, was all rather silly as my only answer to every question was "no" or "I am a tourist!!!"

Thailand is an absolute monarchy obfuscated by a verisimilitude of an ostensible democracy controlled de facto by a military dictatorship in the name of His Majesty. It should be assumed that you have as many personal rights as you in a despotism, which is to say none at all (e.g police routinely use torture, 15 years in prison for insulting a princess' fashion tastes, etc.)

Whats the problem? They are just doing their job. Just because you are a westerner you think that the locals have no right to see whats what?

Lol, you can only imagine the problems that I've had here in Laos with the local police when operating my radio ham transmitters and installing lofty radio antennas...
