Vietnamese Worker Found Murdered on Banana Plantation
Cambodia News, Kandal: A Vietnamese man was found dead by villagers at 9 am on October 9, 2022 at a banana plantation in Khum Thom commune, Kien Svay District, Kandal Province. Police have launched a murder investigation
The deceased was named Leng Van, alias Tayong, 64 years old, a Vietnamese national, who worked as a plantation worker.
According to sources at the scene, Tayong used to drink alcohol every day in the shed in front of the banana plantation near the scene, but for about two to three days he had not been seen sitting and drinking as usual by the local villagers .
Then, a woman who went to pick vegetables found the old Vietnamese man lying dead in the field with a cut to the neck and a knife abandonned close to the body, and she immediately reported her discovery to the authorities.
Immediately after receiving the information that a body had been found, the Thom Commune Police Force, in cooperation with the Kien Svay District Police Inspectorate, the Criminal Police Force and the Kandal Provincial Police Forensic Office, cordoned off the crime scene and examined the body. They concluded that the death of the Vietnamese man was an act of murder. ក ស. ម្លាប់.
Authorities handed over the body to his relatives for a traditional ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Kandal Provincial Police and Gendarmerie are conducting a search to find the killer or killers.
