Legendary Dipterocapus Alatus Found Floating in the Mekong

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): On the afternoon of May 12, 2022, a 500-year-old dipterocapus alatus tree was found floating in the Mekong River in Chher Teal commune, Kien Svay district, Kandal province.
According to the head of the commune, the dead tree, also known as a Chher Teal, fell off the riverbank hundreds of years ago, in accordance with the folklore that the community was named after that tree, which has resurfaced after being buried under the riverbed.
The villagers went to the site to pay their respects to the legendary tree, which was hoisted out of the river by 2 cranes.

I have a Dipterocapus Alatus tree though it is usually referred to as a whopper!
