Cambodia News On the morning of 28 August 2022, according to Tara Om's Facebook account, Ms. Lay Hun Ky (a.k.a Ms. Trung Nga), author of the book “Khmer Civilization”, has passed away.

The book was introduced into the school curriculum by the Ministry of Education of the Khmer Republic, and it was through this book that many Cambodian children learnt about the Angkorian period of Khmer history.

According to the Amazing Cambodia Facebook page, the funeral will take place on 28-29 August 2022 at 16 Street 143, Sangkat Veal Vong, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh. The cremation ceremony will take place at Koul Toteung pagoda on 30 August 2022. All relatives and friends who wish to attend the funeral services are welcome.
