High Quality AGM batteries for motorcycle in PP?

Post by SlowJoe »

G'day,

I'm wondering if anyone knows a good battery shop for a "premium" motorcycle battery (bog standard Cambodian market scooter). Last battery I bought lasted 3 months, so I switched brands but the shop doesn't have the right size now for my current bike in the same brand.

Willing to pay a bit more for higher quality as I'll be taking a few longer road trips and the bike has no kickstarter.

Cheers,

For what bike model? If your batteries keep dying after three months, I'd bet it's not a battery issue hut your alternator or something else. Even the cheap local batteries last ages.

It was a one off when the 3 month old battery died, was the "Innova" brand. The one it has now Yuasa (genuine?) is 1.5 years old and just fine, but I can't find the same brand of battery I bought in the size I need.

Bike is a PCX, size is an "8" I think, YT something or other 8.

You could try this place https://goo.gl/maps/PUEuJPREgJCrn9Lz5

I went there maybe 2 yrs ago. They offered me 4 different types of batteries for my scooter incl. 2 types of Yuasa from memory.

I didn't find a Yuasa in the size I need there, but $16 and a 6 month warranty isn't bad. "From Thailand bong"

Bike fired right to life much easier and the gauge cluster doesn't flicker anymore so I'm happy with that.
