VIDEO: COVID positive Foreign national resists police trying to detain him for treatment
There were dramatic scenes in Phnom Penh yesterday when a foreign national – diagnosed with COVID-19 – clashed with police and doctors who were attempting to take him for medical inspection and treatment.

The man, believed to be of African origin, has been named as Eberechi Ogwuie, 45 years old.

He resisted authorities and tried to avoid receiving medical treatment after being tested positive for COVID-19 in Veng Sreng Street, Damnak Thom 5 Village, Sangkat Stung Meanchey III, Khan Meanchey.

Military personnel from the Meanchey District Military Base were summoned and rushed to the scene wearing protective clothing and, in cooperation with a team of doctors from the Ministry of Health, were able to force the man to get in the car and submit to medical examination.

The 'dramatic scenes' didn't look too dramatic or must have been off video altho the sight of the astronaut with the 'planet of the apes' pronged restrainer was enough to urge him into the back of the ambulance.

That was the least dramatic scene I've ever seen.
The trident bloke could at least have stuck it up the foreigner's arse, then it'd have bin a bit more Macbeth..
