Free Rabbit to Good Home

This is where you can buy and sell anything you want in Cambodia! There is no 'Craigslist Cambodia,' so this is the next best thing. Most items for sale are in Phnom Penh, but this is a buy and sell section for the whole country. Many expats and tourists have new and used items to sell, so anyone can list them here. CEO has no part in these sales, so buyers and sellers need to get in contact with each other themselves. You're always welcome to list items you're giving away for free, as we encourage the community to give when they can. Amazon and eBay ship select items to Cambodia, but you save time and money when you do things locally.

But who here has actually ever eaten rabbit?

I remember my mother preparing freshly killed wild rabbits when I was a kid. And we had pet rabbits and guinea pigs at the time too.
One was a pet the other was food.
I am sure the OP knows that we would only be joking if we mentioned rabbit stew.

Sorry - I'm not in Cambodia (I'm in Laos), so can't help. I've just acquired 2 abandoned kittens, 10 days old :)

As to eating rabbit, it was a very common dish in my youth in the rural UK. As a schoolboy, I collected the fluffy tails of the rabbits at the Leicester fresh-market.

Good luck finding a home :)

The bunny fights back.

Always "hope" but never "expect".

I have, and here actually. Bloody expensive and completely underwhelming. Just a huge pair of hind legs attached to a load of small bones and ribs.

'Thumper' would be completely safe near me. The next door's cat might eat him though.

Lapin is the French term and there are a host of recipes..stews, roasts...you name it.
People raise them to eat as they multiply ..like rabbits..
Wild rabbits are hunter ...back in the old days and not so old out in the countryside kids, women and hungry men would hunt them with their .22 rim fire rifles..squirrels too..Why?
Because they stayed for the winter .
Lapin is a popular Bistro menu item.
Country people fry it like chicken.
Obviously, this little fella/o is a pet..
Not for the kitchen.
I am glad you found a good home.
It is interesting to see barang find homes for animals here in Cambodia that starving Khmer would treasure with some rice.
Nothing against Fluffy.
