Checkpoint Policeman Run Down by Delivery Man

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A police officer was injured, after getting hit by a motorbike that was driven by a delivery man, at the checkpoint in the red zone area, on May 2, 2021, at 6:10 am, in Sangkat Stueng Meanchey, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.


The victim was identified as Sok Ponleu, a 27-year-old man, a police officer. The suspect, named Roth, a 20-year-old man, a delivery man from the Foodpanda company, was arrested for questioning. The suspect drove a GBX at high speed, attempting to cross the checkpoint. When the policeman told him to stop, the suspect speeded up and hit the victim, causing him to get injured.



The suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to the hospital on the street 217, Khan Dongkor, Phnom Penh.
