Chinese medicine, legit or not ?

The Ministry of Health today issued a warning to eight Facebook account holders who are selling a Chinese medicine Lianhua Qingwen without permission.

It identified the accounts as Global Products, Health in Daily, Online Shop, JHRWS, Lianhua Qingwen Capsule, R&N Supply, 999 online and Morakot which are advertising to sell the medicine online.

So, the Chinese medicine is 'good' when it is donated to the government by a Chinese company, and 'bad' if you buy it on the internet ?
Should the authorities be dosing patients with this Chinese medicine, and if so, (if it really does some good), why forbid it for private sale ? Isn't it a bit much to be distributing this medicine to sick people in Kampong Thom, while suggesting that it might be 'dangerous' for personal use ?


My personal opinion (based on nothing at all but my opinion), is that this 'Chinese medicine' is probably not much more than a placebo and is probably useless for anyone who is seriously ill with coronavirus. But, EITHER it is ok or it is not ok, right ?

I think that it's a fact that it should be administered by that of a professional, because it may have adverse effects to some patients, that may cause death.
