Chinese Trafficker Gets Life Sentence for MDMA

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Chinese national, ZHANG FENG, male aged 27, was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined 60 million Riel after he appeared before the judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on 24 August 2023 on charges of drug trafficking.


The accused man was found with 7 kg of ecstasy (MDMA), 10 kg of other chemicals, and packaging materials for drugs, following his arrest by the Anti-Drug Department on August 22, 2022 at 5:30pm, in front of a condominium in Sangkat Boeung Tumpun II, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh

Looks like they've changed the standard 30 year sentence to life imprisonment now

While being honest that mdma is no risk less drug, and we are not talking about three pills here .....

I feel for that young guy... wrong decision, wrong place, wrong people....

Netherlands considered making it legal.. if done right, it won't kill or harm you more than vodka does... the trip has a great message as well in my view.

BTW, I won't do it again, I'm too old for that now... for all the youngsters, just say KNOW

I hope that guy will get pardoned and he can make something better out of his life then

He won't get pardoned unless he has a deep wallet. Even countries like the Netherlands/ Portugal that have decriminalized personal amounts of narcotics still hand out heavy sentences for large scale trafficking.
