Australia's cultural attaché, Sir Les Patterson takes on Hong Kong (Vids)

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Australia's cultural attaché, Sir Les Patterson takes on Hong Kong (Vids)

Post by Clutch Cargo »

With the serious news coming out of Hong Kong, I thought a bit of mirth may be appropriate...hence in Asinine Arena.

To those members who may not know, Sir Les Patterson is the alter ego for Aussie comedian Barry Humphries. His other, perhaps more famous ego is Dame Edna Everage.

Anyway, back in 1997 Sir Les did 4 videos for the BBC on the eve of the handover of HK.

And here's a tribute to member, Yobbo..I'm sure he'll raise a glass to that..enjoy!

Hongkers is aussie slang referring to and shortening the name of the city. It doesnt refer to it's people. Nevertheless, I've edited the heading to avoid any offence.
