Pakistani Man Arrested for Hitting Girlfriend with Hammer

Cambodia News, (Siem Reap): On September 29, 2020, at 1:20 pm, a 30-year-old Pakistani man, FAISAl called RALO CHAN, was arrested for abusing his girlfriend and using drugs, in room no 317, Steung Thmie village, Sangkat Svay Donkom, Siem Reap.

Lieutenant Nup Sarak, Siem Reap inspector, said on September 27, 2020, the Pakistani man attacked his girlfriend's knee with a hammer ten times and slapped her many times, in room G6, of Phat Nata Apartment. The victim was identified as a 25-year-old woman teacher.

After receiving a complaint, Siem Reap police requested for the investigation from the prosecutor. After the investigation, the police arrested the Pakistani man in room 317, at Smart Angkor Boutique.

The suspect confessed that he used a hammer to attack his girlfriend and that he slapped her. He also used drugs on September 26, 2020. The police are preparing the case of the suspect following the legal procedure.

Sad as this case is, given the quiet desperation of the lives that some people lead, and the pressures they seem to voluntarily put on themselves and their relationships, I was reminded of a joke by the great Lee Mack:
