Cows crossing causes 5 vehicle smash, Kampong Speu
Kampong Speu: On April 24 in the evening, a 5 vehicle crash involving buses and trucks was caused by a herd of cows crossing the road, on national road 4, Trang Troyeung village, Phnom Srouch district, Kampong Speu.
There were 5 vehicles involved in the crash: the first one was a Sun Lyhour bus, the second was a Hyundia Angkor beer delivery truck, the third was a Hyundia truck, the fourth and the fifth were also Sun Lyhour buses.
Before the incident, the five vehicles were driving along following one another, in the same direction from west to east. Suddenly, a herd of cows started to cross the road, so that the first bus had to brake sharply to stop immediately, then all the other vehicles, who were unable to brake in time, kept going and smashed into the vehicle in front of them.

ppl shld start stealing these cows, then u will see a reduction in roaming cows, really cant understand why when they claim most of the time that those cows are their livelihood n all their assets while letting them roam n not afriad of losing them?
btw there is a law enacted last year stating that in a vehicle accident involving roaming cows, the cow owner is at fault

Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

I agree with that law. Maybe people will start being more responsible for their heifers if they're held liable for any damage they may cause.bolueeleh wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 12:35 pm ppl shld start stealing these cows, then u will see a reduction in roaming cows, really cant understand why when they claim most of the time that those cows are their livelihood n all their assets while letting them roam n not afriad of losing them?

I wish the bus and Angkor Company good luck with their claims to this cow owner. I am sure all their expenses for repair, delays and other inconveniences will be covered by the owner of the herd.bolueeleh wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 12:35 pm ppl shld start stealing these cows, then u will see a reduction in roaming cows, really cant understand why when they claim most of the time that those cows are their livelihood n all their assets while letting them roam n not afriad of losing them?

I would say these vehicles were driving too fast on a wet road and that was the reason for the crash.
Pretty comical that 3 buses from the same company were involved.

And probably no more than half a meter apart. I mean, everyone knows that the cows walk home late afternoon, early evening.

I bet the company will milk the cows' owner for all he is worth.
