My first trip was in 1988 right before the country really lost it
Back than you were ONLY allowed 7 days ONLY, had to change $200 at the official rate, ( which was way less than the black market rate)
bring in a bottle of J Walker black and a cartoon of 555's, brought at Bangkok's duty free, would cover ur whole trip expenses almost
