Aussie expat killed by bee swarm
An Australian man died on Saturday after being stung by a swarm of bees in Phayao province, according to reports in Thai media.
Peter William, 64, was at a village cook-out when smoke from a fire disturbed a hive sending thousands of bees batty.
Villagers fled while Mr William took cover under a tree but without luck as the swarm found his hiding place and attacked him en masse.
When police and rescue volunteers arrived at the village they found the Australian in his house covered in stings and unresponsive.
He was rushed to a local hospital, however, despite the best efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Australian embassy were informed and his body sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

I always found smoke chilled bees out . I never had a problem with bees (even while capturing a couple of swarms in my youth and selling them), but wasps are nasty bastards. Depends on the species I guess, but if you kill one even accidentally the rest will do their best to fuck you up. Arghhhh!

Yep. This happened to my dad once. His wife managed to keep his airway open long enough for an ambulance to arrive.SinnSisamouth wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:56 pm u dont die by bee stings

I think you do... especially in Zimbabwe, regardless of allergy.SinnSisamouth wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:56 pm u dont die by bee stings

Khmer bees are pretty mild -tempered, but enough stings will kill you.
Generally anaphylactic shock is mentioned when someone dies from a small number of stings.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

When I was a journalist in Namibia I covered a similar story - the deceased had been stung in his mouth and throat, with thousands of stings all over his body.
He and a mate disturbed a migrating swarm - the mate got away but the poor victim ran into a church and dived under a pew- sadly the bees followed him.
It wasn't a Sunday but there was a small meeting inside the church. The pastor was a very quick thinker and got everyone from the study group into the nursery room - where they watched through the glass as the poor man died.
Terrible story.

with bees and wasp's, always head for the nearest water, wether it be a creek or a shower. Perhaps the pastor in this case had run out of ''Holy water ''
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

On a similar vein..
When riding a bike/bicycle KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT! Obviously, if you use a 'full' helmet, you don't need to.
Large insects (incl. bees) can head straight into your mouth and throat.
A friend of mine was stung by a bee inside the throat and almost died
