Myanmar flights
Myanmar flights
Hey all - hoping to do a Phnom Penh to Myanmar trip and tickets are a little pricier than I anticipated. Any advice on the cheapest or most efficient airlines?

Thanks! Do you know how far in advance you typically must apply for a tourist visa?

If you are eligible for visa-free travel to Vietnam you can save around $50 by flying one way Yangon - Ho Chi Minh then taking a bus to PP from there ($7). You're only allowed one free entry into Vietnam/month though.
As for the visa, it's much cheaper to go to the Burmese embassy at the corner of Norodom and Mao Tse Tung. It was $20 instead of $50 and took around 5 days. However, I believe the visa fees have just been raised so you'll likely have to pay a bit more.
