Bloody objects could be a death threat.

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

A CNRP official found some bizarre objects on his doorstep last week.

When Rem Samoeun, chief of the CNRP’s Pursat City executive committee, found a pile of incense, salt and money covered in blood, he filed a complaint with police. The next day, the offering consisted of batons with the written message ‘I pray you are killed by these batons.’ He believes these are politically motivated death threats intended to intimidate him.

Police are investigating the matter, but do not appear to be treating the affair as serious, and the CPP have denied they would make such a threat.

Well, now if something happens to him, the police will know where to look...
However, Sem Vanna, chief of police in Prey Nhy commune, where Mr. Samoeun lives, said he doubted that the items left at the CNRP official’s door were a threat and speculated that they were likely just garbage.

“I don’t think it’s a political issue. It might belong to a beggar who dumped it there, or maybe it belongs to someone else,” Mr. Vanna said. “But anyway, police are investigating this.”
... a beggar or someone else obviously. :thumb:
