Chinese Guy Gets Bag Snatched with $17,000

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: According to preliminary reports, at 11pm on September 4, 2019 in front of San Saing Restaurant, a Chinese man was victim of a bag snatching on Russian Federation road in Chaom Chao Commune, Por Senchey District, in Phnom Penh.
According to a Chinese translator, the victim had been in his friend's restaurant and was preparing to leave, walking back to his car which was parked on the other side of Russian Federation street opposite the restaurant, when suddenly two suspects rode up on a motorbike(the victim did not remember the brand and the license plate). The motorbike was driving against the traffic in south to north direction, and the suspects had no helmets. They grabbed the victim's bag and fled on their motorbike.
The Chinese man said that in his purse, he had US$17,000, some passports, and bank cards. After the incident, the victim immediately contacted his Chinese translator and lodged a complaint with the police, who promptly intervened. Police station authorities immediately sent the victim to file a complaint and they went in search of the thieves.
