Sihanukville: A 45 years-old woman, Nam Srey was killed by her drunken husband, Verk Sareth, 53 at 12:00 midnight, on May 5, 2016 at their house, located at Beng Jom village, Beng Taprom commune, Prey Nop district, Sihanuk province. Two hours after the event occurred, the perpetrator, the victim's husband had tried to escape, but was arrested at 2:00 am on May 5, 2016.

According to the perpetrator's answer, he had slapped his wife only once because he got drunk. But, police claimed that, the victim seemed to be beaten, breaking her neck. However, the real cause of the murder has not yet identified, waiting for an autopsy and the perpetrator has been sent for a legal procedure.

Poor woman there is no hell like the one in your own home caused by a violent partner. It's bad in the west where there is support and help, I can't imagine going through it here.

There was a commotion near my house one evening so I went to have a look. There was a woman whose face was badly battered pleading with the police to arrest her husband. They cleared off, all the neighbors were going crazy and saying they were going to complain to the sangat.

Hopefully someone dealt with the husband
