No airsoft gun uses hollow point bullets.

Hmmmmm, good point. I don't know what to think now.

Rama, what about those hallow-tipped looking bullets?

Might be a mix of airsoft and real. One of the pistols for sure has an airsoft chamber (look on the bottom). Some of the rifles disassemblies are too simple for real. The others might be real. But no one carries real ammo for an airsoft firearm.

Maybe it was all mixed up to get through customs. Strange.

Don't know about now, but when I was a kid I had a Faulk air rifle with a .177 bore and could buy standed or hollow nose pellets for it.

Same here. Didn't play cowboy and Indians with those though. It's amazing we still all have our sight.

That said, did have one buddy shoot another buddy in the eye with a paintball. Ended up ok but had to wear an eye patch for a few weeks. Stupid kids. This was before iPads and smart phones though. What else were we supposed to do for fun?

Sorry guys I'm not American (although if I was I'd be voting for Sanders). The guns look real enough to me.

The articles both say 'gas guns' quite often and one even concludes by saying that if they were used to shoot from a distance they wouldn't cause injury / are not dangerous, but that at close range they can be dangerous and the two Vietnamese didn't have the needed paper work to import them.

And judging by the photo they were smuggled over in a large Angry Bird bag, so perhaps the two smugglers thought they were just toys that didn't needed to be declared?
