Search and destroy.
http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/22266/ ... lantation/More than 40,000 marijuana trees were burned yesterday after police officials in Takeo province’s Kiri Vong district discovered a plantation in the mountains. Police are now searching for the owners of the crops.
Kiri Vong district deputy police chief Yang Dara said the discovery was made after a two day search in the jungle.
“We spent two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, and found 44,692 marijuana trees which the suspects planted deep in the forest on the mountain, but we have not yet arrested the suspects who fled the scene,” he said...
Looks like they burnt all the evidence ?

This is such bullshit. Deep in the forest? In the mountains? They make Kirivong sound like it's some jungle trek to get to. There are no more than like 3-4km across with no road access down there, along the Vietnamese border. Everyone knew what was there and who was growing it. As with most things, likely the neighbours got annoyed or the cops sensed too much trouble looming ahead and cut the deal short.

Police are zealously working to destroy the evil weed :
Nah, just kidding. I'm sure they deserve a medal for their dedication to preserving Cambodia's forests from criminal activities.
(Ummm, wait a minute... )
http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/22867/ ... -pot-bust/More than 350 marijuana plants were destroyed by police during a raid on Tuesday that led to the owner’s arrest in Kampong Cham province’s Stung Trang district, while a second suspect involved in the operation is at large...
Earlier the month, Takeo province’s Kiri Vong district police officials burned more than 60,000 marijuana plants in more than 170 locations that had been planted in remote forest locations...
Well done the police! Just wondering if, strangely enough, it doesn't happen to be harvest season at this time of year ? Perfect time to go out into the forest and reap the local crops,a chance to look good busting a few people who didn't pay up or enough, then bag up the heads and take a photo of burning branches ?Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:This is such bullshit. Re: Search and destroy.
I think they take a sample batch of maybe 5 sq mtrs then decide that by the size of the crop
not sure why they didn't round it up though!
also , nice of them to tell us exactly what days they were active

I don't think they'd get off their arse if it wasn't for American anti-drug money, so I guess it would be the DEA using drone counting systems. It took some guys in an Arizona' box 3 weeks to count that lot.Jamie_Lambo wrote:"44,692" did they seriously count every single last plant?! and whos un-fucking-lucky job was it to do the counting!!!
He needs to update his lyrics.
Eek-A-Mouse began his music career when he was in college, releasing two roots reggae singles under his own name, which were produced by his mathematics tutor, Mr. Dehaney.

Re: Search and destroy.
I bet the police who did the job of burning it, drew straws. What a great way to earn a days work! I bet the food sellers all around where they burned all the plants did well out of it too!
