7 Trafficked Prostitutes and Mamasan Arrested in Vietnamese Owned Brothel Cafe on Street 80 in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Phnom Penh Chamber Prosecutor, Kol Bun commanded some officers under his supervision to investigate vone of the sketchy cafes where sex trafficking has been hiding on February 26, 2016 at house # 607, Street 180, Group194, Village 14, Srak chork commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.
According to Dap News, the General Prosecutor said that the raid happened while the shop owner, a 43 year old Vietnamese woman, Ty Kimphae, was present.
There were seven female victims found: Deen Thyheang, 20, Venh Heang, 22, a Vietnamese woman, Thern Chanthorn, 30, a Khmer woman, Thy Belang, 36, Vietnamese, Meang Thy Herng, 29, Vietnamese , Chang Thynhov Nhong, 38, a Vietnamese woman and Ngor Tam, 39, a Vietnamese woman.
He added that some items where confiscated during the raid, such as, two used and nine brew condoms were found in the first room; three used condoms and four new condoms with a $10 note and a glass ice pipe in the second room; a used condom and two new condoms in the third room; four used condoms and eight new condoms in the fourth room; two used condoms and two new condoms in a fifth room; a large number of used condoms in the bathroom in the fifth room; and notebooks, a large amount of unused condoms and some money, 40000 Riel in a barrel.
Authorities have ordered the brothel cafe to close down for a while.
The suspect and all the victims were taken to Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Department and are waiting for legal action.
