The Joint committee burned down huts of 12 Vietnamese families built along the river bank

Phnom Penh: According to Kampuchea Thmey Daily News: around 09:00 am on 15 November 2015, the joint committee decided to burn down huts of 12 Vietnamese families built on state land along the band of the river. They were living illegally and causing anarchy. Most of them are scavengers and during the night they always steal people properties. Some drug addicts were rounded up too.

This is the second time that the committee in Chbbar Ampov district decided to burn down all these slump huts. The first time was before last year khmer new year, 15 huts were burned down belonging to 19 families. Recently there 11 huts remains and 22 families are living in them. The committee doesn’t allow anyone to build hut on the bank of the rive that belong to the state as It might cause anarchy.
