Domestic violent, couple hacked and stabbed each other to death
Takeo, According to
Cambodia Page, a domestic violent turned into tragedy. A couple was having argument with each other and then they stabbed and hacked one another which resulted in death for both of them. It was happened around 11:00 pm, on 13 September 2015 at Toul village, Angprasat commune, Kirrivong district, Takeo province.
Police confirmed that the husband name Sreng Ra, 43 years old and the wife name Sang Pov, 43 years old.
Police added, before the fighting happened, both of them went to watch boxing at a coffee shop. Then when they came back home, they had argument with each other which led into fatally fighting.

This tragedy reminds me of what, unlike the cinema portrays, happens in actual primitive combat: mutual slaying.
Very tragic that a couple watches a fight and ends up fighting with more deadly results than the fight on tv.
Is this really more common in Cambodia recently or are we just cherry-picking? It seems like family mental health issues are rampant in the rural areas? Very sad.

agreed there seems to be so much of this about, has cambodia always been like this? is it just because were becoming more aware due to the internet/smart phones?

I think Cambodia is always like this and really violence. The reasons that you don't see kinda stories because most of English news papers in Cambodia don't cover all of these stories.

Some people are really violent. I think they have mental problem but they just don't notice that it is illness and then it becomes serious. Maybe most of Cambodians don't know what is mental illness.
