Sword Attack on Journalist Who Reported Drug Trafficking to Police

Cambodia News, (Battambang): At 11 pm on February 2, 2023, a man named CS, 52 years old, working as a journalist in the "Local News" unit, was chased by two strangers, who attacked him with swords.
The victim said that, on the night in question, two unknown men on a black McClellan motorcycle chased him to his house, cut him with samurai swords, and then fled immediately.
The journalist said that the two attackers were probably local drug traffickers. He said that about two weeks ago he called the police to report drug dealing that was going on in the area around the train station. As a result, the police came to raid the train station and arrested a number of drug dealers and users. The drug dealers were upset with him for calling the police, so this was probably a revenge attack.
After the incident on the morning of February 3, 2023, the journalist went to file a complaint with the provincial police to find the perpetrators.
