Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 11:50 pm on 29 November 2022, 3 suspects riding two motorcycles robbed a man of his wallet with nearly KHR 2 million whilst he was on the way to buy corn at Deum Kor market for resale. This incident happened along Street 217, Sangkat Stung Meanchey II, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

On the way to the market, three unidentified suspects appeared on two motorcycles and robbed the victim of his wallet, causing him to lose control of the tuk tuk trailer and overturn on the road.

The victim, who was suffering from minor injuries, got up and asked passersby for a motorcycle, and he went to chase the suspects. The chase went up to the Stung Meanchey flyover, where suddenly the suspects disappeared. The victim then returned to the scene where he described the incident to Post News journlists. The victim lost nearly KHR 2million riel, which he had tried to desperately to get back from the robbers, since this money is his capital for doing his corn-selling business.

Although the incident happened in the sight of many law enforcement officers, none of them attempted to intervene or assist the victim. The victim said he will file a complaint to the police to search for and arrest the suspects who seized his wallet and bring them to justice.
