Vietnamese Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): On August 13, 2022, a 23-year-old Vietnamese man, Nguyen Yang Man was sent to the First Instance Court of Kandal province on charges of attempted murder and destruction of private property along the Mekong River in Spean Dek village, Prek Tonlab commune, Leuk Dek district, Kandal province. The suspect, who worked and stayed in the location mentioned above, was arrested on 11 August 2022.
The victims were Le Thihung, a 68-year-old Vietnamese woman, and Nguyen Yangnam, a 17-year-old Vietnamese boy who works as a barber.
The police seized 2 knives and a 5.6m rope. The suspect and the evidence were held in custody for further proceedings.
