Road Rage: Two Men Attack with Cleaver and Long Knife

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): On August 12, 2022, at 3:00 pm in Puk Russey Kandal village, Kandal province, a 31-year-old man, Nheum Ponlok was arrested for attacking a 37-year-old man, Tang Ieng with a cleaver and a knife causing injuries on his right ear.
According to the source, previously the suspect had served a 6-month sentence for violence in 2019 when he was a drug addict. And then on the day of the incident, the suspect was drunk and drove on the wrong side of the road where he encountered the victim who was driving from the opposite direction. They almost had an accident, which led to a fight between the two men.
The suspect, who was really angry, then drove back to his home to take a long knife to attack the victim. However, the victim was also equipped with a cleaver and he threw the cleaver at the suspect's head and missed his target, so the suspect attacked the victim with his long blade and struck him on the right ear.
The suspect was detained for further proceedings.
