Garment Worker Killed in Road Accident

Cambodia News Kampong Speu: On 3 August 2022 the Kampong Speu Provincial Police announced that a fatal traffic accident occurred along National Road No. 41 km. 38-39 in Sre Khnhe village, Por Meral commune, Bor Seth district, Kampong Speu province, at 06:31am.
Two vehicles were driving in the same direction, when a white Hyundai without license plate, driving from Chum Kiri, Kampot province, tried to overtake and hit a Samsung van (2AD-4695) from Takeo province, killing one person and seriously injuring six others.
The Samsung van was carrying some workers to the Venthura Garment Factory in Kampong Speu Province. The deceased was a female worker named Channa from Sre Cheng village.
Police arrived at the scene of the accident and sent the injured to a private hospital in Trapeang Andek market, Takeo province.
The driver who hit the van ran away and the authorities are continuing their search for him.
