Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 2:00 pm on January 20, 2022, in Cham village, Sangkat/Khan Chroy Changvar, a group of 15 people were arrested and accused of drug abuse.
Local villagers had previously complained to the police about the regular gatherings of young people, who were abusing drugs and partying all day and all night, disturbing the peace and causing fear amongst the villagers.

So, the police went to the scene of the disturbance, where they confiscated some amount of drugs and a weapon, and took the group of rowdy young people down to the police station for further investigation.

This drug raid in Chroy Changva has recieved a lot of media attention for a very small haul of drugs.
