3 Chinese Arrested After Robbery and Shoot Out with Police

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): Sihanoukville city police reported that they have detained three Chinese nationals for armed robbery and shootings which took place on 14 May.

According to the Sihanoukville police officer, the three suspects are:
1. ZHANG DONG, male, 33 years old, Chinese, false occupation. (Gunman).
2-Name: YUE XIAO BING, Male, 33 years old, Chinese, Unreliable occupation.
3-Name: YANG TIANYIN, Male, 26 years old, Chinese, Unreliable occupation.

The exhibits include: - 1 pistol, brand K59, ID: 7777.with 4 9mm type bullets.

The same source continued, "Immediately after receiving this information, the Criminal Police Planning Task Force, in cooperation with the Special Intervention Force and the Sangkat 3 Police Force, arrived at the scene, but the suspect escaped and the police continued to investigate." With the help of some local people, who spotted the gunman, they reached the point of Ta Kwan on a small road in Village 2, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, where they immediately located the suspect.
Police shouted for the suspect to stop, but he pulled out a gun from his waist and fired two shots at our police force, but fortunately did not hit our police force, then ran into a house,and continued to run from house to house, in order to escape our police forces. But, finally, the gunman was captured at 6:40pm.
Then, at 19:00, Jinpei 3 Casino, located in Group 13, Village 4, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville Province, called to report to the police that an employee of Jinpei 3 Casino had been robbed, and the Jinpei 3 Casino Company has arrested 2 suspects and handed them over to our police force.

Currently, the suspects and the exhibits have been sent to the police station for questioning to proceed with the procedure.

Good thing they blurred the handcuffs, wouldn't want anyone to identify them.

I think many of them must be on the run from prosecution at home.
Seems to be easy for them to come and go with no passports.

Yes of course but I reckon you can bet your last dollar that this casino enclave is tightly controlled by the authorities.

But yeah, it was a bit of fun/tongue in cheek post although perhaps not altogether joking in that all the news we hear here about associated kidnappings, shootings, people jumping off buildings, drugs, extortion, vice et al, one would be pretty naive to not join the dots together that it's mostly related to gambling or at least casinos attracts these other vices..at least how it works here locally anyway.

And then as Nemo posted, I suspect many of these low life crims are on the run from their own country. Indeed, there's been a few stories on here about chinese crossing borders via Laos and Vietnam to get here illegally. And wasn't there the issue of indentured prisoner workers on construction sites in Chinaville?
