Dead Homeless Woman Found Under the Stung Meanchey 2 Flyover

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A woman's death was reported to the police at the point under the Stung Meanchey 2 flyover, along Street 271, Sangkat Stung Meanchey II, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh, on 10 May, 2021.
Ni Mao, a 29-year-old homeless man reported to the authorities that at 12 midnight, on 9 May, he saw the woman sitting alone drinking alcohol and taking drugs at the above point. At 8 am the next day, the woman was found dead near the place where she was drinking the night before. She was identified as 50-year-old Vanta, occupation and residence unknown (homeless) on May 10, 2021, when she died alone on the street.
Ny Mao further confirmed that the woman had been staying under the flyover for several days, and she was drinking and taking drugs. When he saw that she was dead, he called the police who removed the body for examination.
