Not sure if this is "newsworthy" or more appropriate for "tech" but it is definitely interesting! I've wondered how Facebook knows so much about me!

Speaking of Facebook friends, I've got over 300 friend requests in the last couple months that I just haven't gotten around to accepting or denying. Image

Interesting article.

I have no friends because I am not on FB

But seriously, you guys let Fb look at all your email and phone contacts ? What if they don't feel good with that ? And don't you have "private" friends, or friends that mustn't know that you're friends with their enemies/exes?
In a nutshell, whenever you sign up for a Facebook account, Facebook asks permission to look at your e-mail contacts if you’re on a computer, or your phone contacts if you’re on a smartphone. When you grant the site permission, it searches your contacts for users already on the network, and it searches other users’ uploaded contacts for you.
