Pakistani Man Detained for Wandering Around Cambodia with No Papers

Cambodia News (Battambang): Lieutenant Eng Bunthanh, the deputy director of the immigration department, sent a foreigner to the General Department of immigration on April 28, 2021, after he was released from quarantine.

The police reported that the foreign man was identified as ALI MUSHTAQ, 38 years old, a Pakistani national. On April 11, 2021, he was arrested for having no passport in Komrieng district. He had traveled from Phnom Penh to Battambang and continued on to Pailin and Banteay Meanchey. He was arrested for questioning and got quarantined for 14 days.

The Pakistani man had no relevant immigration documents, so he was sent to the immigration department following the legal procedure.
