Cambodia News (Prey Veng): According to the Prey Veng Provincial Police, a suspect was sent to court on 12 May 2023, as a result of his attack on police officers on the night of 4 May, at 23:42, at Prey Prohm village,Prey Veng province.
The suspect is Phal Borin, alias Da, a 26-year-old male resident of the commune, living in front of Wat Prey Prohm. Police say that he was in the village when he began hurling insults, and then throwing sticks and axes at the two village policeman for no reason. When confronted by the forces of law and order, the suspect insulted the policemen, and then he ran off, hid behind a hut, and ambushed the Prey Pnov Police Chief by throwing some bricks at him. The suspect then ran away into the darkness to escape, pursued by the village cops.

The two officers called for reinforcements to assist them, and the police team surrounded the suspect's house and arrested him. He was taken into custody shortly before midnight, and police seized evidence at the scene , such as a large ax, two bricks and a big stick. Currently, the suspect is being sent to the Prey Veng Provincial Court.
