Man in Debt Trap Kills Himself from Desperation

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey province): In a tragic event that occurred this morning, at 8 am on March 16, 2021, in Klangab village, Malai district, a 54-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree behind his house. The man was identified as Nouv Sophal.
According to his friend in the village, the deceased called him to say that he owed a lot of money that he could not pay back, and so had decided to kill himself. When the friend went to investigate, it was too late, and he found the man's body hanging from a tree branch in the garden.
