Foreigners Arrested Trying to Cross from Thailand to Vietnam

Cambodia News (Battambang): On January 13, 2021, 8 Vietnamese nationals were detained after entering Cambodia from Thailand illegally through Komreing district, Battambang. The 8 Vietnamese were sent to quarantine.
On January 13, 22021, according to Lieutenant Sath Kimsan, Battambang police chief, lieutenant Danh Engbunchan, the deputy director of the immigration department, prepared to send those 8 Vietnamese people to the general department of immigration of the ministry of interiors following the legal procedure.
The 8 Vietnamese people from Thailand entered Cambodia illegally through the Robeang border. The police sent them to get quarantined for 14 days following a first covid test .
