Patrolling police took an iphone 5 while checking for drug

Phnom Penh: Two young men left the club and headed to meet their friend, but then were pulled over by the patrolling police, as they were riding the motorbike without plate number. After that, police searched on them. They found nothing, beside an Iphone 5 and they took it away. This incident occurred around 1:30 am on 4, March, in front of SPT Korean training center located at #430, st271, Trapeang Chouk village, Tek Thla commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh.

According to the victim, [Motorbike’s owner] name Dop Langdy, male, 23 years old, electrician, staying at Ou Russey commune, 7 makara district, originally from Kampong Cham province and the driver names Chaay Hay, male, 23 years old, barber. They both stay together and originally from the same place. Before the incident happened, they were riding a motorbike [Today] without plate number from Dragon club located in chroy changvar commune, chroy changvar district as their friends called them to meet at Preas Kossamak hospital. So, when we arrived the scene. There were five polices with three motorbikes patrolling in that areas. They saw that our motorbike doesn’t have plate number. Then they tried to pull us over, but we didn’t stop. So they chased over us. However, they finally managed to pull us over. They stopped us in order to check. After checking, they found nothing, then they had an excuse that they wanted to bring us for urine test to find out if we were using drug. As a result, they brought us and left our broken motorbike there.

The victim added, when we arrived at quite place along the street 315, Beoung Kok 2 commune, Toul Kok district, they checked us again. Then, they found an iphone 5 and they just took it away and fled. So, they just took the motordop back to where their motorbike was left and brought it home.

I really don't know where the problem started. i wonder if it is because they don't get enough salary, or they just want to make money in easy way, as they are armed and we don't.

Which for all I know might be stolen bikes... But not my sister's in law one that was just an illegal import though
