Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk Province) : On the evening of October 21, 2020, HE Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province and Chairman of the Provincial Administrative Unity Command, called off a search operation for a girl who slipped and fell into a waterfall at Kbal Chhay Waterfall Resort in Sihanoukville. The victim, a 13-year-old girl named Roeung Panha, is a student in Battambang province and was currently residing in Village 5, Sangkat 4, Preah Sihanouk Province with her family.

It should be noted that the search operation for the girl began at 2 pm, after receiving immediate information from the girl's family, using the province's total force to search the location where the girl slipped and fell. However, despite extensive search in the area, she was still not found at 6pm, and is now presumed to have drowned.

Due to the dangers of searching at night and the speed of the waterfall, HE Governor decided to temporarily withdraw the search force to protect the safety of the rescue team. Meanwhile, he has set out a plan to search for the girl tomorrow morning, adding that even if the girl has died, it is important to find the body. RIP.
