Cambodia News (Kampong Speu): On September 16, 2020, a 28-year-old man, Teak Dy, a real estate agent, driving a Lexus RX 200T, drove his dead girlfriend to the Oudong Royal gendarmerie to confess that he had killed her, but that it was an accident.


The suspect said that he was driving his car from Siem Reap with his girlfriend and another man. The girlfriend was in the passenger seat beside him, and the man was in the back seat behind them. When they arrived in Kampong Chhnang, he was talking to his girlfriend when she reached into the glovebox and took out a gun that was inside. He tried to take the gun back from his girlfriend and told her not to play with it. Suddenly, his car crashed into the road barrier, causing the gun to go off, and his girlfriend was fatally shot through the chest and died instantly.

After the incident, the man drove his car to the Royal Gendarmerie for the confession.

More likely: they had a fight, they struggled, he shot her and crashed. Why does a real estate dude need a gun?

Maybe for defense when he's carrying stacks of cash around? I know many wealthy people carry them but I'm not sure what the process is for private citizens to get guns legally here. I'm not in the mood for searching through the laws this afternoon but as far as I can recall there isn't much provision outside the security services.

He doesn't look as remorseful or distraught as I would have thought for it being an accident.

Look how her arm is under the seat belt.

Almost like someone placed her into the car post mortem and put the seat belt on her.

It happened to me with my mother in law, they didn't believe me though

To make things just a bit stranger, that’s not a real gun. It shoots blanks, and possibly rubber bullets. Lucky it didn’t just blow up, the extractor and slide are in rough condition.

Not strange for someone like him who through His profession get handed large amounts of cash. A easy target if followed with nothing to protect himself.

When it comes to the accident that would also not be first time someone got killed from playing with a gun. Not to speak bad about the dead or assume that this is true but people are stupid and shit like this happen every now and then. Even coppers play around with their guns drink outside ktvs and shit with a accident just waiting to happen.

Lastly someone Said that the arm is under the helt. Well yes. If it was a accident they probably would have taken her belt of trying to save her first? Your girlfriend got killed and you dont even bother to try assist her? Dont even bother to unbuckle her?

I actually could believe that, but if dead, why rebuckle her?
I would of been in to much of a panic to get her at least to a hospital before a cop station, dead or not.
This looks the dodgiest bit of info to me.
