Wandering Calf Kills Motorcyclist

Cambodia News (Kampong Chhnang): A man was seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital after hitting a calf in a road accident, on March 23, 2021, at 5:12 pm, Thlok Chrao village, Boribo district, Kampong Chhnang.

Before the incident, the victim was driving his motorbike full speed ahead, when suddenly he hit a young cow that wandered on to the road. The motorcyclist was going too fast to stop or swerve, and he drove straight into the beast, and was violently ejected on to the gravel road. (The man doesn't appear to have been wearing a helmet.) The animal escaped with a broken leg, but the man died on the way to the hospital.

The police went to the scene to check the accident, and the body was taken to keep at Kampong Chhnang provincial hospital, waiting for the family to claim it.
