Man Arrested for Sharing Sex Videos of Ex-Girlfriend

Cambodia News (Kandal): On July 3, 2020, a 36-year-old man, Nget Sophat, a construction worker, was arrested for sharing pornography of his girlfriend on social media. The suspect posted a video of his girlfriend and him having sex on May 12, 2020, at the guesthouse in Saang district, Kandal. The victim is 32 years old. The police confiscated an Oppo phone containing the video from the suspect.
The victim and the suspect met each other via social media. The suspect used an account named Punleu Meas. They were in a relationship together when on February 16, 2020, at 10 am, the two agreed to meet each other at the guesthouse at the Deumkor market. They had sex and took a video of their love-making on the phone.
Some time later, the suspect insulted the victim, so she wanted to break up with him, and she blocked him on social media. Then the suspect sent the pornographic video of the woman to her nephew and some other friends on social media. The suspect also insulted the victim. After that, the victim went to Kandal police station and filed a complaint.
After receiving the complaint, the police arrested the suspect for case preparation. The suspect confessed that he had shared a sex video of him and his girlfriend and sent an insulting voice message to her family and friends because he was angry with the victim for breaking up with him.
