Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A senior police officer of the Anti-Drug Crime Department said on October 5, 2023 that the specialized forces led an operation against drug trafficking in Phnom Penh, arresting a Cambodian man in possession of more than 2 kg of drugs*.

On October 3, 2023, under the guidance and coordination of Mr. Vong Savath of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, the specialized force of the Office (A11) of the Department of Anti-Drug Crimes raided 2 destinations in the capital city:
Target 1: along Mao Tse Toung Street, Sangkat Phsar Doeum Kor, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh
Target 2: along Monireth Street, Sangkat Boeung Salang, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.

During the operation, special forces arrested one suspect, Reth Sarun, male, 43 years old, Cambodian, and seized 2218 grams* (2 kg and 218 g) of crystal methamphetamine (ICE). Currently, the suspect and exhibits have been sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
