Verdict of Accidental Death After 36YO Drowns in Bathroom

Cambodia News, Kompong Thom: On May 19, 2020, there was a report made out by Kampong Thom police that, at 8:50 pm that evening, an accidental death occurred when a person drowned in a bathroom in Thnong village, Kompong Chen commune, Cheung Treng district, Kampong Thom province.

Police said that the victim was identified as a 36-year-old male transgender, and the cause of death was drowning. The theory is that the victim became dizzy and fainted while on the toilet, falling head-first into the bathroom water supply. The victim had passed out, and so drowned immediately in the bath of water.
Local authorities who went to visit the scene and examine the body have confirmed that the official cause of death was drowning.
