Police Bust Gas Truck Rigged to Carry Illegal Logs

Cambodia News (Siem Reap): On May 22, 2020, at 4:30 pm, Lieutenant Seng Vuthy, the commander of Siem Reap Royal Gendarmerie, busted a gas track for trafficking wood in Sangkat Slor Kram, Siem Reap.
The police stopped a FUSO truck, plate no.PP3C-2859, that was suspected of trafficking wood illegally from Banteay Meanchey to Siem Reap. When they searched the truck, the authorities found a concealed opening which revealed that the truck was full of illegal logs. As soon as the police stopped him, the truck driver ran away to escape.
The truck was taken away to be kept at the local forestry administration offices.
