Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: The Cambodian Department of Immigration, in conjunction with the US Embassy in Phnom Penh, has arrested an American man wanted in connection with charges of assault* against a law enforcement officer in the United States.

Immigration police said that the US citizen, identified as James Edwin Olejniczak, was detained at 15:45 pm on April 30, 2020 in front of the US Embassy by officers from the Phnom Penh Police Force and the Department of Investigation and Procedure from the General Department of Immigration at the request of the US Embassy.
The Cambodian authorities were waiting for the American man outside the Embassy after being tipped off by embassy staff, and he was taken into custody immediately.

CEO News note: The first information on the arrest of the suspect said that he is wanted for sexual assault in the US, but as yet, we have not seen any confirmation of this, so the OP has been edited.
