Tragic Accident as Boy Falls Out of a Palm Tree on to his Mother

Cambodia News (Kampong Chnang): On March 5, 2020, at 8:55 pm, a 59-year-old woman, Teuk Ly, died under a palm tree in Wat Thmei village, Kampong Trach district, Kampong Chnang.
The woman had asked her 13-year-old son to climb up the palm tree to cut her some branches. Tragically, while he was climbing the ladder, it broke, and the boy fell to the ground, landing on his mother who was seated under the tree. The woman died immediately at the scene; her son was physically unhurt, but terribly upset.

How do you console him?
That leaves a wound that will never be healed.

I was fearless climbing big trees in my youth but I'd be terrified trying to climb those rickety bamboo ladders on those Sugar Palms. Some rural folk climb them without a ladder, just with some rope contraption wrapped around the trunk. They can be up to 25 meters high.

Not the brightest mother to sit in such a risky spot.
